Many PrepBanz students are children, so we've kept things clear. Each person sees only what's theirs, payments go through Stripe, and the tutor decides every result. If something ever worries you, we want to hear about it.

PrepBanz has three kinds of account, and each one opens a different view.
Studentssee their own courses, their own work and the results their tutor has released.
Parentssee their own linked children: attendance, released results and their private conversations with the tutor.
Parents can't read class chat.
Tutorssee what belongs to their own courses: the students in them, their work and results, and the parents connected to them.
Other students' marks stay private, and every mark stays hidden until the tutor releases it.
Every conversation has its place.
Classes, families and tutors each talk in their own space, so messages reach the people they're meant for.

Class chat is for the class and their tutor. There are no private messages between students.
Parents talk to the tutor in their own private thread. The class doesn't see it, and parents don't see class chat.
Live classes open from the student's course in PrepBanz, powered by Zoom.
Tutors can remove a profile photo that isn't appropriate.
If something feels wrong, talk to a parent or another adult you trust, and tell us. Here's how to report a concern.

Tutors and studentssign in with a password and a code we email them, or with Google.
Parentssign in with a one-time code we send them each time.
Sessions end.When a session expires, you're asked to sign in again.

Question drafts.AI can draft questions for a lesson. The tutor edits or deletes them, and uses only the ones they want.
Checking answers.Many answers are checked automatically, and AI can help check written ones. The tutor reviews the marks.
Help while they practise.Students can get AI hints and learning help as they work. It's there to guide them, and like any AI it can sometimes be wrong.
Released by the tutor.Students and parents see results only after the tutor releases them.
Your information, used for your classes.
PrepBanz uses personal information to run classes, work and results, to take payments, and to keep families and tutors in touch.
What we hold.Names and contact details, course work and results, attendance, and messages. Our Privacy policy lists it in full.
Who can see it.The people described above, and the service providers who help us run PrepBanz, such as Stripe for payments and Zoom for live classes.
Your requests.Parents can download their data or ask for their account to be erased in their privacy settings. Anyone can ask for a copy of their information, or for it to be deleted, by writing to hello@prepbanz.com. We'll handle it in line with the law where you live.
Not for sale. We don't sell your personal information.

Can other parents see my child's marks?
No. Parents see only their own linked children, and other students' marks stay private.
Can students message each other privately?
No. Students talk with their class and tutor in class chat. There are no private messages between students.
Can parents read class chat?
No. Class chat is for the class and their tutor. Parents have their own private thread with the tutor.
Is AI used to mark my child's work?
Many answers are checked automatically, and AI can help check written answers. The tutor reviews the marks and decides when results are released.
Does my child use AI?
Students can get AI hints and learning help as they practise. It's there to guide them, it can sometimes be wrong, and it never decides their marks.
How are card payments handled?
Through Stripe. You type your card details into Stripe's own payment fields, and every payment has an invoice in Billing & Subscriptions.
